Roll Call 2025: Drivers planning Weekly Racing Series runs at Lucas Oil Speedway invited to post car photos

WHEATLAND, MO. (Feb. 11, 2025) - With the 2025 Lucas Oil Speedway season quickly approaching, it's "Roll Call" time for those planning to race in the Pitts Homes and Realty Weekly Racing Series.

Drivers are invited to post a photo of their race car - in the comments section on the same "Roll Call" as this story - on the Lucas Oil Speedway Facebook page. Not only will it be a fun way to look ahead to the new season, it's a chance for teams to win one free crew pass in each of the five weekly divisions.

Drivers should post the photo, plus their name and the division in which they plan to compete. The photo receiving the most "likes" in the Hermitage Lumber Late Models, Arctic Food Equipment USRA Modifieds, O'Reilly Auto Parts USRA Stock Cars, Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA B Mods and the new Hickamo Country Store Super Stocks will receive the pass.

Voting will conclude on Friday, March 14th - the day before the Open Test and Tune session is scheduled.

"We've done this a couple of times in recent years and it's been a lot of fun," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said. “It's a chance for the drivers to show off their cars and for the fans to get an idea of who’s coming to race with us in the Weekly Racing Series."

Following the Open Test and Tune on March 15th from 6-9 -p.m., the 2025 schedule is scheduled to fire up March 22nd with March Full Body Madness. The SMSI Pure Stocks, Hickamo Super Stocks, O'Reilly Auto Parts Stock Cars and the 4 State Dirt Late Model Series will be in action.

The three-day "King of America" featuring the USMTS Modifieds and USRA B-Mods is set for March 27-29.

The first Weekly Racing Series event of the season is scheduled for April 5th.

Media Day reminder: Media members are reminded that the track is holding a Media Day luncheon on Wednesday, March 12th. Some drivers will be available for interviews with tours of the facility available, along with rides around the dirt track in the Lucas Oil Speedway 2-Seater Late Model. There also will be some rides around the Off Road track in the Lucas Oil Speedway UTV 4-Seater Razor.

Details on the starting time and complete itinerary will be finalized in upcoming weeks. Media members who would like to attend can RSPV to Lucas Oil Speedway PR Director Lyndal Scranton at Lscranton755@gmail.com.

Media members also can submit a credential application form on the speedway website.
