WHEATLAND, MO. (Nov. 18, 2020) - Look for the Lucas Oil Speedway booth this weekend at one of the fall traditions for those who love speed, the annual Hot Rod Holiday at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds E-Plex in Springfield, Missouri.

Springfield’s Biggest Indoor Car, Truck, and Bike show is set for Saturday and Sunday inside the spacious, 75,000 square-foot E-Plex, at 3001 N. Grant. The Lucas Oil Speedway booth will be near the West Hall door.

The event runs from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.

“Hot Rod Holiday always is a fun event and we want to invite Lucas Oil Speedway fans to stop by and check out our booth, say hello and pick up schedule information for our 2021 season,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Danny Lorton said.

Hot Rod Holiday brings together cool customs and classics from around the region, Rock Crawlers, race cars, tuners, muscle cars and extreme horsepower. Vendors will be on hand with the latest gear for your ride and your garage. Food and drinks will be available as well.

On Saturday evening, there will be an auction to help with medical costs for Larry Krauck, events coordinator for the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Larry is hospitalized with a critical case of COVID-19. Lorton said Lucas Oil Speedway also will be donating a pair of three-day event General Admission tickets for the 29th Annual Lucas Oil Show Me 100 Presented by ProtecttheHarvest.com, May 27th-29th, for the auction.

Ozark Empire Fairgrounds General Manager Aaron Owen said the Mother Roadster Foundation is helping collect for Larry and there will be envelopes for people to sign and put their money in, including at the Lucas Oil Speedway booth. If spectators need to use a credit card, the Roadster Foundation will be able to take those as well.

Other highlights of the event include Santa will be at the show both days for the kids to get photos for the holidays and M.O.S.S (Missouri Ozarks Scale Specialists) will again offer scale modelers a chance to compete for trophies and awards in the 3rd annual Model Car Contest on Saturday.

Several local and regional automotive artists offering everything from airbrushed and pinstriped panels, t-shirts and sculptures as well as original works will have booths at the show displaying their wears and to discuss how they might be able to personalize your own ride.

Saturday evening the Southwest Missouri Drag Racers Hall of Fame and Annual Reunion takes place in Center Hall. Each year they induct Pioneers, Legends and Rising Stars into our Southwest Missouri Drag Racers Hall of Fame, racers whom have raced on the tracks here in the Ozarks. Race cars from those being inducted are on display both days in Center hall as well as tables full of memorabilia from the local Drag Racers, and tracks.

Tickets are $15 at the door, but $11 in advance. Visit HotRodHoliday.com for more information. Kids 12-and-under are admitted free and parking is free.
