Lucas Oil Speedway's upcoming Monster Truck Nationals advance tickets available

By Lyndal Scranton (Wheatland, MO) -- After the exciting conclusion of the oval-track season at last weekend's MLRA Fall Nationals and Street Stocks Big Buck 50, Lucas Oil Speedway now turns it attention to one final "Spooktacular" event in 2017.

It's the Monster Truck Nationals "Eve of Destruction" coming to the speedway October 21, a combination of big, powerful trucks and a Halloween trick-or-treat celebration with fans of all ages encouraged to dress in spooky outfits.

Always one of the most-popular and hottest-selling tickets of the year, fans can save $5 off gate admission by purchasing tickets in advance at participating O'Reilly Auto Parts locations. That also will assure a seat as the event traditionally attracts a near-capacity crowd.

"This is one of our most-popular events of the season and tickets are sure to be a premium come show day," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Robinson said. "At the very least, by getting tickets ahead of time you can avoid standing in lines at the box office.

"If you've never seen the Monster Truck Nationals, it's impressive. The power, the sounds, the flames ... it's unlike anything else we have at Lucas Oil Speedway. Combine all of that with the Halloween celebration and it's a great family-night-out opportunity."

The big one-day show will feature six world-famous Monster Trucks - Bigfoot, Raminator, Heavy Hitter, Big Kahana, Snakebite and Basher.

A free Pit Party is included in the paid admission ticket and will start the evening at 5 p.m. Kids are invited to come in Halloween costume to the Pit Party for Trick or Treating and get autographs and photos with the drivers and vehicles.

Fans also can take a Sergeant Smash Monster Truck Ride during intermission for just $10 per person.

This year, Freestyle Insanity Moto-X will be on display as well. Keith Sayers will bring in the great in high-flying motorcycle action featuring stunts like the cliffhanger, death grip and perhaps even a back flip.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. with the Pit Party from 5-6:30 p.m. with showtime at 7.
