LEDUC, Alb. Can. (September 30, 2017) Skylar Gee can count his trip the 7th annual Hockett/McMillin Memorial a success with the Carlan Services No. 99 making the cut all three nights with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour presented the MAVTV Motorsports Network.

“It was kind of bittersweet. We were really good Thursday, but Friday we weren’t as good. Not really sure what we did wrong. We didn’t really change much, but I think the track just threw us off a little bit, but we hung on and finished,” commented Gee of his preliminary nights that saw a best finish of 14th during Thursday’s A-Feature.

Setting Gee into a Qualifier on Saturday, Skylar raced on position shy of a direct transfer into the show, but was able race through the B-Main to better his overall weekend finish with a 13th place showing from the 19th starting spot.

“We had a car capable of transfer out of the Qualifiers, but we just couldn’t seem to get the moves to work, but we made it through the B-Main, and had a great car in the feature.”

Setting sights on another new facility, the No. 99 will venture to the high-banked, I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb. on Saturday, September 30 for the Fall Brawl.

“I haven’t watched anything on I-80, but I’ve talking to the BDS Motorsports team and they said it’s fast, but you can race so I’m pretty excited to get to another new track.”
