Lucas Oil Speedway

Despite the best efforts of the Lucas Oil Speedway track crew, mother nature had her own ideas forcing the postponement of Saturday's Jesse Hockett/Daniel McMillin finale until Sunday, Sept. 29th. Gates will open at 1pm on Sunday with Hot Laps at 3:30 and racing to follow. Complete shows in both the ASCS and WAR Sprint Car classes will be run from scratch as only hot laps were completed before the skies opened up. Tickets stubs and pit passes from Saturday night will be honored at the gate for admission. For those that were unable to make it on Saturday, Sunday's ticket price will be $25 for adults, $20 for Seniors/Military, $10 for youth (6-15), and kids 5 and under FREE. 

Jason Johnson, with his ASCS National Tour leading eight wins in 2013 leads the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour points standings over Albuquerque, New Mexico's Johnny Herrera. Bartlett, Tennessee's Jeff Swindell sits third in the points with Brad Loyet and Tony Bruce Jr. rounding out the top-5. Logan Forler, Seth Bergman, Dustin Morgan, Cole Wood, and Brandon Hahn sit 6th-10th respectively. The Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region will race with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour as local favorite Jonathan Cornell has dominated the Warrior Region in 2013 and holds a commanding lead in the Warrior Region points. In the season long battle for the Impact Signs WAR Wingless Auto Racing points championship, Edgerton, Kansas' Mitchell Moore holds a slim 20 point lead over Warrensburg, Missouri's Taylor Walton. Spring Hill Kansas' Chad Goff occupies the third spot with 622 points while 2012 WAR Champion Austin Alumbaugh rides in fourth. Lucas Oil Speedway is located at Highways 83 and 54 in Wheatland, MO. A campground with shower and bathroom facilities is also available. With the entrance located just outside the pit gate this sprawling scenic camping facility will continue to enhance the racing experience at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks.
