Drivers get a chance to dial in during Saturday Open Test and Tune at Lucas Oil Speedway

Lucas Oil Speedway Open Test & Tune
One week before the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series season opener, Lucas Oil Speedway has an open test and tune on Saturday from 2-6 p.m.

Wheatland, Missouri (March 28, 2018) - Engines roar to life at Lucas Oil Speedway for the first time in 2018 this Saturday, with an Open Test and Tune from 2-6 p.m.

Drivers for each of the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series classes - Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds, Ozark Golf Cars USRA B-Mods, Big O Tires Street Stocks and Warsaw Auto Marine & RV ULMA Late Models - plus any others from the region are invited to participate.

"This is an ideal opportunity for our drivers to fire up the motors and get some testing done before our opener the following week," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. He noted that last year, even some open-wheel Sprint and Midgets were in attendance at practice day.

"I know our fans are eager to see cars on the track for the first time this year and we welcome them to come out," Robinson added. "We'll open up the grandstands to them for free. We're looking forward to a fun day at the track."

While grandstand admission is free, pit passes are $25 for drivers and crew and $10 for ages 5-and-under. Pit gates will open at 11 a.m. and there will be limited concessions behind the pit-side grandstand.

Robinson said speedway officials will monitor the weather closely and adjust the schedule, if needed, to try and get the test and tune in. Continue to monitor the Lucas Oil Speedway Facebook page along with LucasOilSpeedway.com and other social media platforms throughout the week for updates.

The season-opening program for the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series is set for April 7 ahead of the 6th annual Lucas Oil MLRA Spring Nationals Presented by RacingJunk.com, April 13-14. The Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds and Big O Tire Street Stocks will join the MLRA Late Models that weekend.
