With Mother Nature winning her third race of the season this past Saturday night, the racing fever is at an all-time high for "Bolivar Herald-Free Press Night at the Races" this Saturday, May 22nd at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri. In addition, Eric Lane and the Doghouse Band will also be playing a FREE Pre-Race Concert on the Midway from 5-6pm. "It has been said that we sound like Johnny Cash meets Bruce Springsteen" stated band member Eric Gulliford. They have opened for many National acts including David Allan Coe and Johnny Lee. The Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stock special event that was postponed last weekend has been rescheduled to this Saturday, May 22nd. Don't miss the top drivers in the region as they will be racing for a whopping $600 to win main event sponsored by ALPS Grocery Stores in Pittsburgh, Missouri. The winner of the Carson's Corner Napa Factory Stock Special will receive an additional $300 for the win bringing the total to $600, while an extra $100 will be awarded to the second place finisher and a random finisher will also receive an extra $100 on the night. Lucas Oil Speedway Officials have also announced that July 24th will now be utilized as a make up night for one of the "Rockstar Energy Drink Championship Series" events that was lost this spring due to weather.
Spectator Gates open at 5:00pm this Saturday with Hot Laps set to get under way at 6:30 and the first big race of the night at 7:05pm. Adult Admission at the gate is just $12 with Seniors and Active Military only $8. Juniors (6-15) are just $5 and Kids 5 and under are always FREE at Lucas Oil Speedway. Show Your AAA Membership Cardat the gate and receive $3 off any Adult or Senior General Admission Ticket.
