SEPTEMBER 6TH CLASS CHAMPIONSHIP RESCHEDULED
After much deliberation the Lucas Oil Speedway Weekly Racing Season Finale has been officially rescheduled for Saturday September 20, 2008.
“We bounced around a bit trying to find the best night between the 20th and 27th dates,” said Kevin Greven, General Track Manager. “Both dates have conflicts with racers and fans but the 20th seemed to be the lesser of the two.”
In two of the three classes the season champion has already been decided. But in both the Transport Graphic Factory Stocks and the Pitt’s Homes “A” Modifieds, the battle begins for second place.
James Flood will take home the Championship in Factory Stocks but there are still several positions in the Top 10 that will be decided by just a handful of points.
Jamie Ragland has also secured the Championship in “A” Mods but between 2nd and 4th place there is only a 10 point spread.
Finally, in the Miller Lite ULMA Late Models it all comes down to the last race. Our 2007 Class Champion Rylan Long leads James Rutledge by only 23 points going into the final race.
Our weekly shows have already been called “the best weekly racin’ in the Nation! Don’t miss the last one, as it promises to be one of the best all season.
All promotions and passes for this race, originally scheduled for Saturday September 6th will be honored on the 20th. This includes Hickory County and KTTS Night at the Races. For more information call (417) 282-5984.
