Sales & Marketing-Full Time

General Description:

The Corporate Account Manager reports to the General Manager to fulfill the duties and responsibilities listed below. This position will work with all members of the Lucas Oil Speedway team and involves weekend and occasional extended weekday hours as needed. Frequent local travel is expected, and occasional out-of-town travel may be required. The General Manager or speedway management may assign additional duties and/or responsibilities.

Goals and Objectives:

The Corporate Account Manager is responsible for driving incremental sponsorship and hospitality revenue by qualifying leads & prospects, scheduling appointments, making detailed presentations, negotiating contracts and closing sales. The Corporate Account Manager shall also be responsible for managing and servicing various corporate accounts.

Success shall be measured by reaching or exceeding sales targets assigned by the General Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify business development opportunities and close new sponsorship and hospitality sales to accomplish company revenue goals
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge to create and articulate compelling value propositions
  • Develop and grow a database of qualified leads through referrals, cold calls, face-to-face meetings, direct mail, email communication and professional networking
  • Manage and service various assigned corporate accounts while exhibiting active listening, trust, responsiveness and timely follow-through
  • Conduct industry intelligence to capitalize on selling opportunities within local, regional and national markets, and identify the emergence of trends and new competition
  • Enter and maintain detailed sales data in a customized CRM system
  • Represent Lucas Oil Speedway Speedway at various company, community and networking events for the purpose of maximizing sales opportunities
  • Assist in the implementation of company initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sports marketing and/or relevant sales experience
  • Knowledge of on-site event planning and execution
  • Understanding of advertising, sales and marketing principles
  • Comprehensive computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience and knowledge of sports sponsorships and entertainment is preferred
