As the Lucas Oil Dirt Late Model winner’s celebrated in the winner’s circle Saturday night, the Pitt’s Homes “A” Modifieds rolled out for their feature. Jessie Stovall started out on the outside of row one, which if you are in a modified race with Jessie, that is not where you want to see him start.
Stovall gets another win at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks in front of a near record crowd on the night. Steve Martin finished second and “Racin” Jason Bodenhammer joined them in the winner circle for a short-lived celebration in third.
Bodenhammer was driving the K15 car of Kevin Rogers, which did not pass post race inspection due to illegal deck height. This relegated the official third place point and pay to last years class champion Jamie Ragland.
Daulton Greven led a host of hard chargers from here on out finishing fourth from a 12th place start. Mark Dotson makes the top five from a 15th place start. Ryan Whitworth of Humboldt, Kansas started 18th and took home sixth with Rusty Dukes finishing 7th after starting 17th.
Kelby Taylor, Jason Pursley, and Dannie Stacy round our top 10 on the night. Don’t forget even though not on the original schedule, all three weekly classes are back in action this Saturday, July 25th as we make up the rained out event from May 2nd.
