After hearing from a large number of racers and fans, the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO is opening up the weekly Slick Mist Late Model Class to Show-Me cars.
“It the right time to open up this class to more then one series of racers,” said Randy Bowman, General Manager of the Lucas Oil Speedway. “It is good for the racers, the fans and the class.”
At this point the Slick Mist Late Model Class will be a bit of a run what you “brung” situation. ULMA Late Models will be teched by ULMA Rules and Show-Me cars will be teched by Show-Me Rules. 604 and 602 crate motor late models will continue to follow the guidelines set forth in the ULMA rules earlier this season.
“I am really excited to see these two mix it up on a weekly basis,” added Bowman. “For the most part I believe the track will be the ultimate equalizer and the fans will be the ultimate benefactors.”
