The AAA Winner’s Circle has been one of the best received additions to the Lucas Oil Speedway this season. It’s a toss up as to who likes it most, the drivers or the fans.
“Our goal this season was to bring the racer to the fan,” said Kevin Greven, General Track Manager. “The AAA Winner’s Circle has done that and more.”
The NASCAR Style Winner’s Circle made its debut this season on the South end of the Track’s midway area. It allows direct access for the fans to get up close and personal with the drivers and vice-versa.
“It really started last season at the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing Event,” added Greven. “Because it was a Nationally Televised event we decided to bring the winners up to the midway. It was awesome watching the fans interact with the racers. It was a no brainer that it should become a permanent fixture at the track.”
AAA of Missouri was a perfect match and actually the only company that saw the sponsorship proposal; it was an immediate, yes. Since then the top three drivers from every feature (Nationally Televised or not) make their way to the top side for photo ops, interviews, plus up close and personal contacts with the fans.
As part of the winning experience, driver interviews and trophy presentations are broadcast live in HD to our giant jumbo tron screen. Coming soon, these same presentations will be streaming on our new website at LucasOilSpeedway.com.
